WVU Medicine Children’s patients on the road to Bristol Motor Speedway
MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – WVU Medicine Children’s patients are hitting the highway for Bristol Motor Speedway to watch AM Racing’s Christian Rose.
Rose, a West Virginia native, will be driving a No. 32 Ford Mustang featuring designs by WVU Medicine Children’s patients during the ARCA Menards Series Race on Sept. 19.
Miracle Kids Ivy Martin, Brantly Poling, and Addison Schrock will get an all-access, behind-the-scenes look at race day. While they’re in Tennessee, WVU Medicine Children’s is asking for donations to help young patients just like them in West Virginia and the surrounding region.
The Road to Bristol Motor Speedway Challenge kicks off on Sept. 19. For one day, community members can help WVU Medicine Children’s win the race to provide healthier futures for kids from the state and region while cheering on Christian Rose.
All money raised will go to the greatest needs of WVU Medicine Children’s.
“WVU Medicine Children’s is so grateful to Christian Rose, AM Racing, and everyone who is making this week possible for our kids,” Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., R.N., C.N.O.R, chief administrative officer for WVU Medicine Children’s, said. “Thousands of people will get to learn more about how we work to deliver the best possible outcomes for the women and children of West Virginia and the surrounding region. We could not do that without the generosity of our community and our donors.”
Special challenges throughout the day will unlock critical funding for the hospital that will help purchase life-saving equipment, accomplish groundbreaking research, and provide comfort to patients.
These challenges are made possible thanks to “Winner’s Circle” sponsors Cindi Roth, president and CEO of the WVU Foundation, and the Lori Vance Insurance Agency, Inc.
