WVU Medicine expands access to advanced, specialty care with new ear, nose and throat clinic in Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, M.D. – WVU Medicine is expanding its mission to improve access to high-quality specialty care with the opening of a new Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) clinic in Hagerstown, Maryland. Conveniently located at 13 Western Maryland Parkway, Suite 106, the clinic is now accepting new patients of all ages.
“This new location reflects our continued investment in growing access to specialty care across the region,” Mark O’Hern, president and CEO of WVU Hospitals East, said. “We’re focused on meeting patients where they are and delivering the care they need, quickly, locally, and with a commitment to affordability and access.”
The Hagerstown clinic strengthens WVU Medicine’s regional presence and brings advanced ENT services closer to home for families in Hagerstown and surrounding communities. Staffed by board-certified otolaryngologist Sohrab Shahab, M.D., and physician assistant Connor Hall, P.A.-C., the clinic provides thorough, compassionate care for a wide range of conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.
“Our goal is to make advanced, specialized ENT care more accessible for families in Hagerstown and the surrounding area,” Dr. Shahab said. “Many of the conditions we treat, such as chronic sinus problems, recurring throat infections, or hearing issues can significantly affect a person’s quality of life. These challenges are uncomfortable, disruptive, and often unnecessary. We’re here to help patients breathe easier, hear better, and feel more like themselves again.”
The clinic offers evaluation and treatment for both routine and complex conditions, including chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction and polyps, thyroid disorders, head and neck cancers, salivary gland masses, hearing loss, and voice and swallowing disorders.
In addition to personalized treatment, patients benefit from seamless coordination with the broader WVU Medicine network, including access to advanced diagnostics, surgical expertise, and minimally invasive procedures.
The clinic also prioritizes timely appointments and accepts a wide range of insurance plans, ensuring care is accessible in every sense of the word.
