What to Bring
When you are to be admitted to Wetzel County Hospital, the following are some personal items you should bring with you:
- Personal toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc.
- Reading materials, phone charger, bath robe, etc.
- List of current medications and supplements, including dose and frequency
- A copy of your advanced directives, if you have one
Parking
Our parking lot is located directly in front of the hospital, and is suitable for all hospital visits.
Checking In
Checking in for services at Wetzel County Hospital is a quick and simple process. Depending on what you are visiting the hospital for, you can complete your check in process at the following locations:
Inpatient and Outpatient Services
- Please stop by the Registration Desk when you arrive. To make your registration as easy as possible, please present your insurance cards, Medicare or Medicaid card, photo identification, list of current medications, a copy of any advance directive document, and a copy of any living will document.
Emergency Department
- The ED entrance is located on the front right side of the hospital
Clinical Visits
- Check in for clinical visits will be done at your specific physician’s office.
Our Policies
Wetzel County Hospital is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited both indoors and outdoors, including all clinic buildings and surrounding areas (sidewalks and parking lots). WVU Medicine has a Zero-Tolerance policy when it comes to aggressive behavior, including physical assault, verbal assault (including aggressive and sexual language), threats, and/or failure to comply with instructions. Administration will support staff by maintaining a safe environment for patient care. Incidents may result in search of belongings, removal from facility, and prosecution.
