About the Grant Program
The Building a Healthier Community Grant Program is an initiative of the WMC Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center. The program provides annual grants of up to $50,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Hancock, Brooke and Jefferson counties, as well as neighboring communities where our patients reside.
As WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center invests in the future of healthcare, the Foundation is equally committed to investing in the future of our communities by supporting organizations that improve the health, well-being and quality of life of the people we serve. Applications are currently being accepted and will be through September 4, 2026.
