Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation
The Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation partners with our community to support the hospital through charitable giving. These funds help enhance patient care, advance medical services, and ensure high-quality healthcare close to home.
Ways to Give
Through recognition programs and individual giving opportunities, donors have the opportunity to honor the people and moments that matter most to them. These meaningful contributions reflect a personal commitment to the Foundation while helping fund critical initiatives, improved services, and advancements in care. Together, these gifts create a lasting impact that benefits patients, families, and the broader community.

Special Events
Our signature fundraising events are thoughtfully designed evenings that are both elegant and meaningful. Each event reflects the deep appreciation we have for our donors and supporters, bringing the community together to celebrate the hospital and the vital care it provides. A great deal of time, creativity, and care goes into planning these memorable experiences, all in support of a worthy cause—ensuring continued excellence in healthcare for our region.
Planned giving is a fund for the future
Providing the opportunity to plant seeds to advance the health and wellness of the community. Notably, Garrett Regional Medical Center is the result of a planned gift by George Loar, who through his will set out funds to build a hospital.
There are a variety of ways to achieve planned giving. Prospective or current donors have the opportunity to add the Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation as an additional beneficiary through a variety of funding mechanisms.
Some of those funding mechanisms for planned giving include wills and bequests; gifts of appreciated stock and securities; gifts of retirement accounts; gifts of life insurance and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, and charitable remainder annuity trusts. Additionally, gifts of real estate and personal property are other planned giving options.
