Emergency Department

Our emergency department serves patients from across the region in their most critical moments. With a Level IV trauma center located within Barnesville Hospital, our emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our goal is to deliver a fast, accurate diagnosis and efficient treatment or transport for all patients. Regardless of insurance status, no patient will ever be turned away for treatment.

Our facility includes cardiac beds and monitors, as well as a trauma room and separate trauma bay. Our physicians and registered nurses work closely with others throughout the region to make sure all patients’ needs are met.

As we understand children are not simply small versions of adult patients, our trauma room has all of the specialized equipment necessary to treat children and adolescents. From the time a patient walks through the door, and throughout their entire stay, families can expect to be kept up-to-date on their child’s care.

Emergency ground transportation is provided by Barnesville Hospital EMS, and air transport is provided by HealthNet. Paramedic back-up is provided to volunteer ambulance services as well as advanced and basic life support for emergent and non-emergent transports.

In the case of a clear medical emergency, please call 911.
