Jefferson Medical Center offers a variety of classes to help you stay healthy, safe, and informed.

Whether you are interested in learning about diabetes or smoking cessation, our courses are here to guide you. We also offers maternity and family classes for expectant and new moms.

Classes:

Diabetes Self-Management Classes — FREE

This four-week program educates those with diabetes about diet and meal planning, medications, glucose monitoring, exercise, hygiene (including foot and skin care), and more. Classes are held in Jefferson Medical Center’s 1st Floor Conference Room. Pre-registration is required by calling 304-728-1693.

Lifeskills — A Diabetic Patient Education Program

A four-week comprehensive program taught by a Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian, this program is targeted to help individuals manage diabetes. Classes are held in the McCormack Center Suite 3800. A physician referral is required. A program fee is applicable and is covered by some insurance companies. For more details, call 304-596-6839.

Diabetes Support Group

Provides information and support for persons diagnosed with diabetes.
Meets the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in 3rd Floor Classroom

Prenatal Class

Free and open to moms and babies.

Thursdays from 5 – 7 pm

Via Microsoft Teams App on smartphone/tablet or a computer with webcam

Smoking Cessation Classes — FREE
