MILITARY TRAINING PROGRAMS
Support to our Military
As West Virginia has a proud tradition of military service and a strong veteran support network, WVU Medicine proudly continues that tradition by providing training for key members of the United States Department of Defense medical community. We have built a reputation as a destination of choice for U.S. Army Special Forces Medical Sergeant clinical training, and our goal is to explore future opportunities to assist with the clinical training of our service members.
Section for Military and Austere Medicine and Surgery
This section has been established to build interest in military programs and to support our veteran population. Our goal is to become the hub for all military support and coordination between the WVU School of Medicine and government entities. Through the Section for Military and Austere Medicine and Surgery, we are able to assess clinical interests to assist with future programs and build a resource for establishing new training programs and partnerships. WVU Medicine is a point of entry and expertise for military service members looking for educational opportunities, licensure, and credentialing.
If you are interested in participating as an instructor for current or future offerings, we will consider you for an adjunct faculty appointment. If you have any questions please call 304-598-4137. Thank you for your interest and support to our military students and programs.
