Outpatient Nursing


WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital is committed to providing quality care for our patients, conveniently close to home. The Outpatient Nursing department saves patients time and prevents unnecessary hospital stays by providing a wide variety of services that require the assistance of a nurse but not the presence of a physician. The department is centrally located in the hospital to provide easy access through the main registration area and shorter wait times for patients.

Our qualified nursing team provides outpatient nursing services at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Some of the services offered through Outpatient Nursing include:

  • Medication injections
  • Infusion therapy
  • Wound Care/dressing changes
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Port flushing
  • IV antibiotic administration
  • Outpatient fluid administration
  • Chemotherapy disconnection
  • Iron deficiency anemia treatment

A physician’s order and appointment are required prior to the procedure.
