Our patients may have visitors from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 6:00-7:00 p.m. daily. They are broken into 30-minute increments to allow more availability for patients to have visits. We ask that visits be pre-arranged prior to visiting. This can be accomplished by dialing our direct line, 304-264-1230 and requesting a visit. Visitors are approved by the patient and physician and are limited to close family members and/or support persons involved in therapy.

Arrangements for visiting times to accommodate special circumstances are made through the therapist, nursing staff or attending physician. Visitors should call for special arrangements.

Each patient may have 1-2 visitors at a time. Visitors must be 18 years of age or older. Identification is checked prior to each visit and personal belongings will be secured in individual lockers.

We request former patients do not call or visit patients currently on the unit unless the current patient’s treatment team determines the former patient who wants to visit is an active member of the patient’s support system. Other forms of communication between current and former patients (gift giving, writing, phone calls, etc.) are strongly discouraged.

In order to allow for the completion of numerous patient assessments and to enable the patient to become engaged in his/her treatment, visiting may occur after the first 24 hours of hospitalization.
