Spinal Tumor Radiofrequency Ablation

Metastatic tumors growing within the spine can press against nerves and cause spinal column fractures, leading to severe pain for cancer patients. A minimally invasive procedure using targeted electrical current is now being used to destroy cancerous tissue in the spine and relieve the pain, explains WVU Medicine neurointerventional radiologist SoHyun Boo, MD.

SoHyun Boo, MD, is a radiologist whose clinical interests include radiology, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, and neurointerventional radiology.
