On January 1, 2014, the City Hospital Foundation and Jefferson Health Care Foundation merged to form on unified Foundation for the area’s regional health system. The University Healthcare Foundation acts in a philanthropic capacity for the University Healthcare hospitals – Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center.
The University Healthcare Foundation is a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit, tax exempt organization that depends on the generosity of individuals, local businesses and corporations to help support its mission on providing high quality, cost effective health and wellness services to our community. The Foundation is led by a 21-member volunteer Board of Directors, and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
