Cancer Care and Infusion Services at WVU Cancer Institute
The WVU Cancer Institute James & Shirley Bailey Regional Cancer Center at Garrett Regional Medical Center offers greater access and services for cancer patients in our region. The Center is led by Dr. Kevin Shannon, a Board Certified hematologist/oncologist, chemotherapy certified nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive care for patients. Established in 2016, the center offers a calming atmosphere to provide ease and support to patients and their caregivers.

- IV Fluid Infusions
- Port or Central Line Maintenance and Blood Draws
- Minor Procedures and Testing
- Navigation Services
- Patient and Family Support Group
Cancer Navigation
To provide additional support during this challenging time, cancer navigator services are available for our patients and their loved ones. The cancer navigator acts as a coach to help to create positive outcomes for patients and ensure timely treatment. Specifically, this includes assistance in locating services, overcoming barriers to receive care, navigating the complexities of healthcare that range from insurance, travel arrangements, family and social care all the way to clinical services and research.
