The Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a partnership of patients, caregivers, and WVU Medicine staff from Berkeley Medical Center, Jefferson Medical Center, and our University Health Associates East outpatient clinics. We are dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for every patient, every time. Your feedback can transform the patient experience and help shape current and future services. Purpose Statement

The PFAC provides an opportunity for WVU Medicine East to listen and receive feedback from our patients and community members to help improve and develop new programs. This is an opportunity for patients and family members to collaborate with colleagues, physicians, and leadership in a safe and supportive environment.

PFAC Participation Guidelines

You are eligible to participate in the PFAC if you are:

  • 18 years or older
  • a patient or family member/caregiver of a patient who has been see at a WVU Medicine East facility in the Eastern Region in the past 5 years
  • willing to provide positive and/or negative feedback regarding your experience
  • able to effectively share your insights and experiences in a group setting
  • able to respect the perspectives of others and work in partnership with WVU Medicine staff

Our PFAC members collaborate and give feedback to our leaders to help advance our practices and create beneficial changes

Our meeting time and location has not been determined yet, we will work with members of our PFAC to determine what time and location is most convenient for the group.
Our PFAC meetings will be held in person at the designated time and location.
The feedback of our community members is incredibly valuable, and our PFAC allows us to gain insight from the patients’ perspective to improve policies and practices based on ideas and feedback given during our meetings.
