Our foot and ankle surgeons are experts in numerous treatments and approaches, and have additional specialized training in certain procedures including:

Ankle arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that offers several benefits for patients with ankle problems. This technique involves small incisions and the use of a tiny camera and specialized instruments to diagnose and treat various issues within the ankle joint. Benefits include reduced postoperative pain, shorter recovery times, and smaller scars compared to open surgery. Ankle arthroscopy allows orthopedic surgeons to address problems like cartilage damage, loose bodies, and ligament injuries with precision.

Total ankle replacement surgery provides significant benefits for individuals with severe ankle arthritis or chronic pain. This procedure involves replacing the damaged ankle joint with an artificial implant, resulting in reduced pain and improved joint function. Patients typically experience enhanced mobility, stability, and the ability to perform daily activities with less discomfort.

Foot and ankle reconstruction surgery offers substantial benefits to individuals with complex lower limb issues. This procedure aims to correct deformities, alleviate pain, and restore function, often resulting in improved mobility and quality of life. Foot and ankle reconstruction can address conditions such as flat feet, bunions, arthritis, and injuries, allowing patients to regain stability, balance, and the ability to engage in various physical activities.

The Percutaneous Achilles Repair System (PARS) is a minimally invasive technique for treating Achilles tendon ruptures. It offers several notable benefits for patients. PARS involves smaller incisions, leading to less tissue disruption and reduced postoperative pain compared to traditional open surgery. Patients typically experience quicker recovery times and can begin weight-bearing activities sooner. PARS also allows for better preservation of the Achilles tendon’s natural length, potentially reducing the risk of complications and re-rupture.

PRP and stem cell injections are regenerative therapies that use the body’s natural healing properties to treat conditions like osteoarthritis and injuries. They can reduce pain, inflammation, and promote tissue repair, offering non-surgical options for musculoskeletal problems. Please be advised that Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapies are alternative treatments and may not be suitable for all medical conditions or individuals, which can be discussed with one of our providers.
