MyWVUChart Replaces Thomas Hospitals Exchange Patient Portal: User Help and Activation Information.
In May 2024, Thomas Hospitals is transitioning to WVU Medicine’s best-in-class Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Epic. Epic is considered the gold standard of electronic health record systems around the country. Thomas Hospitals will also switch to the MyWVUChart patient portal from our current patient portal tool, the Thomas Hospitals Exchange.
Some Thomas Hospitals Exchange Patient Portal tools, such as provider messaging, will no longer be available in the Exchange Patient Portal. Please call your provider’s office for any urgent messages.
All patients, including those with a Thomas Hospitals Exchange Patient Portal account, must now sign up for MyWVUChart to access tools and health record information. MyWVUChart will include health record information for services received on or after May 1, 2024.
Epic’s MyWVUChart patient portal application makes managing your health as quick, convenient, and accessible as possible for all patients within the WVU Medicine health care system.
