What Stroke Certification Means for Patients
Stroke certifications are earned through strict standards that support safe, reliable care. For patients and families, that translates into confidence and consistency when care matters most.
Proven Standards and Continuous Quality
Camden Clark’s Primary Stroke Center certification reflects compliance with rigorous stroke-related standards and ongoing evaluation. This certification helps ensure systems are in place to support high-quality care from arrival through discharge and recovery planning.
Coordinated Care Across the Continuum
Stroke treatment often involves emergency care, inpatient management, imaging and testing, rehabilitation planning, and long-term follow-up. Our stroke program supports connected care so patients can transition smoothly to the next phase of recovery.
Ongoing Support After Discharge
After a stroke, follow-up visits and lifestyle and risk-reduction planning can make a meaningful difference. Our outpatient clinic helps patients manage recovery, monitor progress, and reduce the likelihood of future events.
After-Stroke Care in the Mid-Ohio Valley
Recovery doesn’t stop at discharge. WVU Medicine Camden Clark provides outpatient follow-up and long-term support to help patients reduce future stroke risk and improve quality of life.
