The Radiation Oncology Department at Thomas Hospitals offers oncology patients advanced radiation techniques including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). These techniques allow maximum dose delivery to the tumor while limiting exposure to the surrounding healthy tissues. With Tara Hansen, MD as our Radiation Oncologist and a new TrueBeam linear accelerator, the department offers an advanced level of care and excellence in treating cancer.
