St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation announces "Every Heartbeat Matters" campaign

BUCKHANNON, W.VA. -- St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation recently announced its 2019-2020 fundraising campaign at a reception held in Salvati Hall at WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital.

“Every Heartbeat Matters” will support Cardiology Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the state of West Virginia, which has the highest rate of heart disease in the nation at 14.6 percent.  

Funds raised from the campaign will be used to provide the hospital with a Transesophageal Ultrasound Probe, which allows physicians to see the back of the heart; a GE Bike Stress Echo Tilt Table to provide patients with restricted mobility an easier stress testing; and Cardiac Rehabilitation Equipment for the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Suite.
