The WVU Cancer Institute at Fairmont Medical Center offers greater access and services for cancer patients in our region. The clinic is led by Saira Hassan, M.D., a board certified hematologist/oncologist, chemotherapy certified nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive care for patients. The clinic offers a calming atmosphere to provide ease and support to patients and their caregivers.

Cancer Navigation

To provide additional support during this challenging time, cancer navigator services are available for our patients and their loved ones. The cancer navigator acts as a coach to help to create positive outcomes for patients and ensure timely treatment. Specifically, this includes assistance in locating services, overcoming barriers to receive care, navigating the complexities of healthcare that range from insurance, travel arrangements, family and social care all the way to clinical services and research.
