The WVU Eye Institute offers comprehensive eye exams to adults and children to evaluate the health of your eyes and vision. Our highly trained specialists perform screening tests for common eye diseases and other vision problems.
WVU Eye Institute Eye Exams
Screenings during a comprehensive eye exam may include:
- Cataracts
- Color blindness
- Diabetic eye disease
- Glaucoma
- Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Overall eye health
Contact Lens Fitting
Eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions from WVU Eye Institute providers and outside providers are accepted at our Eye Shop, open in the WVU Eye Institute on Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Discounts are available for WVU Medicine employees, WVU employees, students, and veterans. Most vision insurances are accepted, and we participate in health savings card and spending account plans. Eyeglasses and contact lenses are available through our Eye Shop.
