About The Foundation
The Camden Clark Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 1987 to support Camden Clark Medical Center and assist the hospital in accomplishing its mission of improving the health and wellness of communities in the Mid-Ohio Valley by identifying and eliminating barriers to care. We rely on philanthropic support to provide the cutting-edge equipment and invaluable programs that ultimately benefit our patients.
The Foundation accepts gifts on Camden Clark Medical Center’s behalf and works to fund both present and future equipment and program needs. Contributions of any amount are gratefully accepted and may be unrestricted gifts or designated for a specific hospital unit or program. Contributions to the foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, with 100 percent of gifts benefiting the hospital program or department designated by its donors.
Sustained Monthly Donations Support:
- $25 monthly provides a gas card to assist a cancer patient struggling with treatment transportation.
- $50 monthly provides a digital blood pressure cuff to a cardiac patient who needs daily monitoring.
- $75 monthly provides testing kits and other diabetic supplies for uninsured diabetic patients.
- $100 monthly provides a mammogram screening to an uninsured patient.
Additionally, your generous donation supports a variety of initiatives including lullaby pacifiers, car seats, aspiring nurse scholarships, music therapy, and much more.
Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing, or FEES, is a procedure used in the assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders in pediatric patients. FEES procedures are safe and effective and are increasingly used in children of all ages. During a FEES procedure, a flexible fiberoptic scope is inserted through the pediatric patient’s nose and advanced into the throat to provide a close-up view of the structures involved in swallowing.
Healthcare providers assess various aspects of swallowing during the procedure. Bedside FEES provides an option for patients to be evaluated at the bedside which benefits pediatric patients by helping to reduce anxiety of the patient and their caregiver. It keeps children with their families and bedside FEES are tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients, including premature infants and children with developmental disorders.
Camden Clark’s Rehab Services team has FEES trained therapists ready to use this groundbreaking diagnostic tool. With a FEES device our therapists can evaluate pediatric patients quickly, in real time, and at the bedside. It allows us to keep our smallest patients, here at home with their families.
With your donation to the 2023 Camden Clark Foundation Annual Appeal, we can help make bedside FEES procedures accessible to children and families in need throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. All proceeds from this year’s campaign will benefit the purchase of FEES equipment allowing for bedside pediatric evaluation at Camden Clark.
The Camden Clark Foundation is pleased to host the 37th annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at the Parkersburg Country Club. Please join us as we enjoy this special day with our friends and colleagues. We are limited to 144 players, so please return the enclosed registration as soon as possible.
All of the 2023 proceeds benefitted and supported our Healthcare Heros in “Emergency and Trauma Services” at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. Our hardworking first responders are committed to performing at the highest level of care and provide the best outcome for our patients and families of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
All of the proceeds from our 2024 Charity Golf Classic will benefit the Women & Children’s Department.
This year, your registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, prizes, lunch and refreshments as well as one helicopter ball drop ticket, one mulligan, and one 50-50 ticket per player.

Nursing Scholarships
The Camden Clark Nursing Alumnae will award two $2,000 scholarships in memory of Ella Bloomheart and Barbara Fonte. The scholarships are presented in May.
Charity Golf Classic
This Scramble event is limited to 144 players and is always the 1st Monday in August at the Parkersburg Country Club. Funds from this event benefit a variety of departments and services at WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
Pink by Poolside
The Pink by Poolside annual event takes place the first Friday after Labor Day. 100% of proceeds will go towards providing mammograms to our area’s uninsured and underinsured patients.
Pink Cupcake Run
The Pink Cupcake Run is the first Sunday in October and Kicks off “Breast Cancer Awareness”. All proceeds benefit the Pink Mammogram Fund.
Pink Mammogram
Pink Mammogram Fund has provided free screening mammograms, diagnostics, and biopsies when indicated to our area’s uninsured and underinsured patients.
The Camden Clark Foundation has been the host of 10 Annual Pink by Poolside amazing events. This exciting occasion takes place the first Friday after Labor Day at the Parkersburg Country Club from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. We encourage everyone to wear something PINK to join in the fun and bring awareness to support our efforts in the progress we are making together to defeat breast cancer. This is Pink by Poolside and is not a swimming event.
100% of proceeds will go towards providing mammograms. In the past 10 years since our first event, we have provided more than 2,200 procedures to underinsured and uninsured Mid-Ohio Valley residents. We have expanded our assistance from screening mammograms and diagnostics to biopsies and genetic testing.
