Jack Gelman, MD

Jack Gelman, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 25 years’ experience.  He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  After graduating from Duke University School of Medicine, he completed plastic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic.  He then established a successful cosmetic surgery practice in Chicago, IL.  Dr. Gelman is also an artist, having painted murals professionally and studied studio arts at Swarthmore College. 
 
Wanting to give back to the community, he joined the faculty of West Virginia University as associate program director to train the next generation of plastic surgeons.  Dr. Gelman relocated with WVU to the Eastern panhandle in the Fall of 2023 to bring his expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to the people of Martinsburg, Shepherdstown, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry and Berkeley Springs.

Sarah specializes in aesthetic medical procedures to provide patients with a more youthful, refreshed and natural look. With 3 years in aesthetic experience and 10 years experience as a PA, Sarah’s services include neurotoxin injection (Botox, etc), dermal fillers, and medical grade skin care. Sarah is also actively involved in the cosmetic surgery experience for patients of the practice, including surgical first assist, consultations, and pre- and post-operative care. Further, Sarah takes care to make the entire experience as enjoyable as possible for each unique patient. Utilizing a full facial assessment, she enjoys working with her patients’ goals and expectations to create tailored plans of care, with the ultimate goal of improving confidence levels and keeping patients looking natural and graceful for years to come. After working in private practice cosmetic surgery in Reston, VA, Sarah returned to WVU Medicine to work with Dr. Gelman and is happy to bring her expertise to the people of the Eastern Panhandle.
