General surgeon joins WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital

General surgeon Wayne Myers, DO, has joined the staff of WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.

A graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in neuroscience and psychology, Dr. Myers earned his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Pinnacle Health Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.

Prior to joining WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Dr. Myers performed general and minimally invasive surgery at Angott Surgical Associates, served as director of the Washington Health System Wound Center, and chief of surgery at Washington Health System Greene.

Dr. Myers is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

He is seeing patients at the hospital in Tower 2, Suite 102.
