MMG Primary Care Welcomes Two New Providers
Princeton, W.Va. – WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital and MMG Primary Care is pleased to welcome Ariel Schulte, PA-C, and Kassandra Nelson-Jones, PA-C, to its healthcare team. With over three decades of combined experience, these providers bring extensive clinical expertise and a deep commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care for our community.
Ariel Schulte joins MMG with 10 years of experience as a physician assistant, specializing in family medicine and chronic disease management. A graduate of the University of Charleston’s Physician Assistant Program, Schulte has served in a variety of healthcare settings, including primary care and veterans’ clinics, where she managed a broad range of chronic and acute conditions. Her dedication to fostering patient health and wellness aligns well with MMG’s mission to provide accessible, compassionate care for patients of all ages.
Kassandra Nelson-Jones, with more than 20 years of experience as a physician assistant, brings a wealth of knowledge in family medicine and patient-centered care. Throughout her career, Nelson-Jones has managed both acute and chronic conditions, providing comprehensive healthcare in clinical and long-term care settings. Her skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and patient education reflect her dedication to empowering individuals and families to lead healthier lives.
Lee Grimes, vice president of ambulatory services for WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital said, “We are excited to add the expertise of Ariel Schulte and Kassandra Nelson-Jones to MMG Primary Care. They have long histories of service to Mercer County and surrounding areas, and their experience and clinical skills will enhance our team’s ability to meet the region’s healthcare needs.
“We were very fortunate to be able to employ Ariel and Kassie, after Dr. Glasscock had to leave the area suddenly, so they could continue taking care of their patients right here at home,” Grimes added.
Both Schulte and Nelson-Jones previously worked for Dr. Telitha Glasscock, a Princeton family physician who closed her practice earlier this year.
MMG Primary Care is operated by WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) and provides comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care for adult patients. It is located at 118 12th Street in Princeton, behind PCH.
Shulte and Nelson-Jones join Dr. Marshall Long, Dr. Martye Marshall, and nurse practitioners Caleb McDonald and Amanda Neal in the MMG Primary Care practice. Except for Dr. Long, all providers are currently accepting new patients.
