Indoor Navigation Now Available at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital
Matt Adams, director of facilities engineering, and Michael
Green, engineering supervisor, install the new signs for Indoor Navigation.
New technology now available at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) is helping patients and visitors easily find their way around the facility. The WVU Medicine Indoor Navigation system routes guests through publicly accessible areas to locations including waiting rooms, nurses' stations, medical departments, restrooms, and the cafeteria.
With their cellphone’s camera app, users scan the QR code on one of 23 “You Are Here” signs placed around PCH and their web browser then opens a map of their exact location within the hospital. Users can then search for a destination in the facility and a highlighted route and directions to that destination will appear. “You Are Here” signs have been posted near elevators, outside the chapel, and in other visible locations.
Princeton Community Hospital is one of five facilities within the WVU Medicine system now offering Indoor Navigation. Learn more about how to use Indoor Navigation.
