WVU Cancer Institute recognized among top oncology programs in Becker’s Hospital Review
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The WVU Cancer Institute has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2024 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs, a list highlighting leading oncology programs across the nation that are driving innovation, research, and discovery in cancer care.
The Becker’s editorial team selects featured programs based on nominations and respected rankings by organizations such as U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek.
Programs featured on the list are recognized for offering cutting-edge treatment options, conducting impactful research, participating in groundbreaking clinical trials, and adhering to rigorous safety standards.
Many honorees, including the WVU Cancer Institute, are working toward or hold National Cancer Institute designation, further demonstrating their commitment to excellence.
“We are honored to be included among the leading oncology programs in the country,” Hannah Hazard-Jenkins, M.D., executive chair and director of the WVU Cancer Institute, said. “This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to providing high-quality cancer care close to home, advancing innovative treatments, and improving outcomes for patients across West Virginia and beyond.”
