Volunteer Opportunities

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital Volunteers are caring, compassionate individuals who give of their time to support the hospital’s mission of providing excellent health care that improves the quality of life for area residents.

Our volunteers give back to the community and make a difference every day in the hospital experience of our patients.

Volunteer Activities

Volunteers assist patients, family members, and employees in a variety of activities. Examples of jobs performed by volunteers include:

  • Transporting patients
  • Escorting patients and visitors
  • Completing general office duties
  • Serving patients, visitors, and employees by staffing the information desks
  • located in the main entrance and Parkview lobby
  • Delivering flowers

Volunteer Requirements

Our volunteers are committed to patient care and a high-quality patient experience. They form a vital link between the hospital and the community we serve.

If you have a desire to serve others, please consider becoming a PCH Volunteer.

All applicants must:

  • Be at least 15 years old
  • Be able to volunteer at least four hours weekly
  • Complete an application
  • Attend orientation
  • Complete a TB test
  • Successfully complete a background check
  • Receive a flu vaccination annually
