We have the resources needed, and we are prepared and available to care for you and your family.
Examples of when you should go to the emergency room include:
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe bleeding or trauma
- Loss of consciousness
- Loss of or blurred vision
- High, uncontrolled fever
- Head injuries
- Burns
- Severe abdominal pain
- Broken bones

When you or someone you love experiences an illness or injury that needs immediate attention, it’s reassuring to know that Princeton Community Hospital has a state-of-the-art Emergency Department close by, 24/7. Our ER is staffed by board-certified physicians and highly trained nurses who deliver lifesaving care with a combination of efficiency and compassion. Our Emergency Department administers treatment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. We act as a resource/referral center for patients presenting to our facility for all specialties.

Hours
The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency Department Minor (EDM) is open from 10 am to midnight. EDM is a subsection of the Emergency Department (ED) aimed to decrease length of stay for minor emergencies. Most healthcare plans consider this an Emergency Room visit.
