The Cardiology Department services are available Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Testing is done by appointment with the exception of EKG (Electrocardiogram) which can be done any time. All tests require a physician’s order, and some tests may require preauthorization by your insurance company.

Cardiac Rehab
Candidates for Phase II Cardiac Rehab include patients who have experienced: heart attack, angioplasty/stent, bypass surgery, heart transplant, or stable angina. The monitored out-patient program consists of 3 exercise sessions per week for 12 weeks. This program may be prescribed by your doctor. Therefore it may be covered in whole or in part by Medicare as well as most medical insurance plans.
We offer this medically supervised exercise program to help individuals with heart disease rebuild their strength and stamina. Exercises may include the use of treadmill, stationary bike, Biostep, hand ergometer, range of motion weights, and rower. Included is education for individualized exercise, nutrition, and stress management to help manage your heart health.

Healthy Hearts / Risk Factor Reduction / Cardiac Rehab Phase III Program
This program is available Monday through Friday during regular department hours. It allows Phase II patients to continue their exercise in a familiar setting at a reasonable price. The program is also recommended for patients with risk factors for heart disease that need to develop an exercise program plus provide education about lifestyle modifications. A doctor’s order is required. This program is not covered by insurance.
