St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary presented scholarship award to Madison Elizabeth Wamsley

BUCKHANNON, WV –The St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary presented Madison Elizabeth Wamsley with a $750 scholarship award. 

 

Wamsley attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School where she was involved in student government, student council, and was on the National Honor Society and Dean’s list. She served as a junior volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital and serves six hours of community service as part of her service scholarship. She worked with Special Olympics during her freshman year at West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) where she is enrolled in their health care curriculum. She was on the Dean’s list at WVWC and plans to become a registered nurse.

 

The Auxiliary awards scholarships to students who are planning on pursuing a career in a medical field or have already begun their studies in a health-related field. Students must have a GPA of 3.5 and demonstrate excellence in character, academics, and leadership.
