Community efforts related to Covid-19 have ongoing by pharmacies and medical facilities in Mineral County, as well as through the continued dedication of Mineral County Health Department. Since early in the pandemic, these entities have worked together to provide care, testing, and vaccinations.

In an effort to further the reach of these efforts, Potomac Valley Hospital has partnered with Reed’s Pharmacy and Potomac Valley Transit Authority to provide a “Mobile Clinic” to the Mineral County community. This “Mobile Clinic” partnership aims to increase community vaccination rates by raising awareness of the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines as well as provide easier access and convenience for community members.

The goal of the “Mobile Clinic” is to meet community members where they live and work, by visiting local places of employment or assisting those with limited transportation. To date, COVID 19 Vaccines and Influenza Vaccines have been provided at WVU Potomac State College, Potomac Heights, and Keyser House Apartment Building.

Any organizations or worksites that are interested in a Vaccine Clinic at their location, may call Potomac Valley Hospital’s Preventive Medicine Department 304-597-3566 for assistance with scheduling.
