Congressman David B. McKinley, PE, visited Potomac Valley Hospital on Monday, February 12. Congressman McKinley met with hospital staff and representatives of Mineral County. The purpose for the roundtable discussion was to give the Potomac Valley Hospital leadership team and leaders of Mineral County a chance to discuss the special needs in Mineral County amidst healthcare challenges.

During Monday afternoon’s discussion, the Potomac Valley Hospital leadership team advocated for insurance reform, better physician recruitment processes and better overall support for Critical Access Hospitals.

“Having the ability to discuss, face-to-face with Congressman McKinley, the concerns we have for our patients was a great opportunity. I feel certain this is only the beginning of bringing much needed services and healthcare options to the residents of Mineral County” said Mark Boucot, President and CEO of Potomac Valley Hospital.
