WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital’s off-site COVID testing center will close Friday, July 30, after serving the community continually since March 2020. The drive-through center is located at the former Harmony House, next to Valley Professional Center South at the old OVMC.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 2, all pre-operative/pre-procedure COVID screenings will be done at the Surgical Center drive-through area at Wheeling Hospital from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. The Surgical Center is located at the back of the hospital near the former ER.

Symptomatic patients seeking COVID screenings should contact their medical provider. If they feel they have an emergency they should go to the hospital’s Emergency/Trauma Center.
WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital has been conducting off-site COVID testing since March 18, 2020, first at Wheeling Park and now at its current location at the former OVMC. As of July 19, 2021, slightly more than 26,500 tests had been conducted at the site.
