Members of the hospital auxiliary, the organization that plans fundraisers in support of the hospitals, were recognized for the financial support they provide the hospitals. The chaplains were honored for their volunteer efforts in providing spiritual support for patients, families and staff.

In addition to recognizing the volunteers for their efforts year round, National Volunteer Week is also an opportunity for Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers to create an awareness of volunteer opportunities within the hospitals.
