The service lines include Orthopaedics, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Neurosciences, and Gastrointestinal. Notably, Camden Clark is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care. These achievements reflect Camden Clark Medical Center’s outstanding clinical outcomes in 6 service areas.

“WVU Medicine Camden Clark is thrilled to be recognized in the newest 2023 Healthgrades Award announcements as a local and national leader of high-quality care we deliver to our community. It’s always been our mission to be a top performing hospital in the nation and we are honored to be recognized in these key areas for our efforts in caring for the Mid-Ohio Valley,” said Cindy Kern, VP of Quality and Patient Safety at WVU Medicine Camden Clark. “We’re extremely proud of our team and will continue to work hard for our community, to provide state of the art care.”

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care and hospitals that did not receive this distinction. From 2019-2021, patients treated at hospitals receiving the America's 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care Award have a lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that did not receive the award.*

“We commend Camden Clark Medical Center for their ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care to patients,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Data Science at Healthgrades. “Consumers can feel confident that Nationally-Recognized hospitals by Healthgrades have demonstrated their ability to deliver consistently exceptional outcomes.”
