WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center Honors Internal Medicine Residency Graduates During Commencement Ceremony

WVU Medicine Camden Clark celebrated its graduating physicians during its annual Internal Medicine Residency Commencement Ceremony on Friday, June 9 at the Blennerhassett Hotel.  

Six graduating physicians were honored and presented with certificates upon completion of the program by Michael Cheshire, DO, Camden Clark Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program Director.  

"The physicians graduating from our residency program spent the last three years providing medical care to our community. In addition to their clinical duties, they completed a rigorous curriculum that has prepared them to sit for the American Board of Internal Medicine exam,” Cheshire said. “We are proud of their accomplishments and are grateful they chose to complete their internal medicine training at Camden Clark Medical Center. We also extend gratitude to the faculty, staff, patients and others who supported our residents during their training." 

Camden Clark’s 2023 Internal Medicine Residency Program graduates include Yunus Ahmed, DO; Eswar Chand Gadde, MD; Saadia Iqbal, MD; Praveena Madapathi, MD; Nnenna Michelle Mbah, MD; and Jahanzeb Shaikh, MD.  

In addition to the certificates of completion, special awards were presented to the following: 

  • Brittany Jones, DO - Intern of the Year Award, presented by Rupali Sangrampurkar, MD 
  • Nnenna Mbah, MD - Dr. Jennifer Leavitt Resident of the Year Award, presented by Neeharika Muddana, MD 
  • Kayla Vaughan - Excellence in Medicine Medical Student of the Year Award, presented by Anirudh Gopireddy, MD 
  • Michael Cheshire, DO - Faculty of the Year Award, presented by Jennifer Leavitt, DO 

Since its establishment in 2009, 74 residents have graduated from the Camden Clark Internal Medicine Program, with many remaining with Camden Clark to serve the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding region.
