Urogynecologist joins WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial Hospital

Urogynecologist Maurice Chung, MD, has joined WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital and Reynolds Memorial Hospital and will begin seeing patients in October. He is a board-certified specialist in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery with nearly 40 years of experience.

Dr. Chung also has extensive experience in urinary conditions. He most recently was director of the Mercy Center of Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain & Urogynecology, Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

His focused interests and research have been in:
• Advanced robotic laparoscopic surgery
• Minimally invasive surgery
• Urogynecology
• Treatment of chronic pelvic pain
• Menstrual pain
• Endometriosis
• Abnormal uterine bleeding
• Fibroid tumor.

Chung also treats pelvic floor dysfunction, pudendal nerve dysfunction, female sexual dysfunction and painful sex, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder control, urinary and fecal incontinence, and interstitial cystitis.
