Thursday night WVU Football game to alter patient, visitor parking at WVU Healthcare

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Patients and visitors planning to travel to the WVU Healthcare campus – including Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Children’s Hospital, the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, the Physician Office Center, and the WVU Eye Institute – on Thursday, Nov. 20 should be mindful of scheduled changes to parking due to the WVU football game that evening.

The parking lots located between Ruby Memorial and Milan Puskar Stadium will be restricted after 4 p.m.

To ensure access to WVU Healthcare facilities, the Gold South Parking Garage behind the hospital has been reserved for visitors and patients. This parking garage is adjacent to the Emergency Department (ED) and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. Access into the hospital is through the ED.

Patients and visitors will need Game Day Passes to enter the hospital. Security officers will distribute passes to patients and visitors at a checkpoint near the parking garage.

Patients and visitors may park in the garage beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. All vehicles must be removed before 8 a.m. on Monday.

Any vehicles remaining in the parking lots between the hospital and Milan Puskar Stadium after 4 p.m. on Thursday will be towed to the Emergency Department parking lot.

For urgent visits, patients and visitors should park in the parking garage and enter through the Emergency Department. For more information on urgent visits or for problems with access, call Hospital Security at 304-598-4444.
