St. Joseph's Hospital to hold Spring Health Fair Saturday, April 6

BUCKHANNON, WV- St. Joseph’s Hospital will host a Spring Health Fair with a variety of free screenings and information on Saturday, April 6 from 6:30 am to 10 am at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School. 

Free screenings will include bone density testing, vein testing, glucose level testing, oxygen testing and blood pressure testing.  There will also be many informational booths and giveaways. 

The Rotary Club blood screening will also be held that day at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School and at the Community Care Clinic in Rock Cave.This screening will offer basic blood profile tests for only $35, a savings of 90 percent. Optional testing for colon cancer and thyroid screening is available for an additional $5.00, PSA testing for $20, and Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes for $15. 

No appointments are needed and fasting for 12 hours is required prior to testing. Payments may be made by cash or personal check. A physician’s name is no longer required. All results will be sent to your home. If you have any questions regarding your test results, please follow up with your family physician.
