with the Upshur County Wellness Cup
BUCKHANNON, W.VA. – St. Joseph’s Hospital sponsored Upshur County Schools’ inaugural Wellness and Field Day at the Buckhannon-Upshur High School Stadium on May 17.
More than 900 students, grades 3-5, from nine elementary schools competed in several events, winning points for their schools. Union Elementary School earned the most points overall and was presented the Upshur County Wellness Cup by hospital representatives.
School officials said the event promoted healthy living, good nutrition, physical fitness, and mental health within the schools.
St. Joseph’s Hospital also provided each student with a backpack filled with various health-related items.
