BUCKHANNON, W.VA. — John Jenkins, owner of Jenkins Ford in Buckhannon and Jenkins Subaru Hyundai in Bridgeport, recently presented a generous donation to the WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation.
His gift toward the Foundation’s “Every Heartbeat Matters” cardiac campaign will help to raise funds for cardiac equipment for diagnostics and the cardiac rehabilitation program. West Virginia has the highest rate of heart disease in the nation, and this campaign is addressing that issue.
“We sincerely thank John for his support of our Foundation and St. Joseph’s Hospital,” John Haskins, president of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, said.
“His willingness to give to our community shows his commitment to ensuring that St. Joseph’s Hospital can continue to provide the best in healthcare to our residents,” Skip Gjolberg, president of St. Joseph’s Hospital, said.
Donors to the “Every Heartbeat Matters” campaign will receive recognition throughout the campaign and their names will be engraved on a plaque to be placed in the St. Joseph’s Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Center.
