BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- St. Joseph's Hospital and the Rotary Club of Buckhannon will hold blood screenings on April 1 and 8 at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School and the Community Care Clinic in Rock Cave.
The blood screening will be held from 6:30 to 10 a.m. and will include basic blood profile tests for $35, a savings of 90 percent. Optional testing for colon cancer and thyroid screening is available for an additional $5; PSA testing for $20; and hemoglobin A1C for diabetes for $15.
No appointments are needed, and fasting for 12 hours is required prior to testing. Those who plan to participate are asked to bring cash or a personal check along with their physicians' names, if they should receive the results.
