When a trauma code was called in the Emergency Department, Nestor responded. Though the patient did not survive, Nestor stayed with the family comforting and praying with them.

Deffet’s coworkers say she is always caring, compassionate, and goes the extra mile and assists them in many ways, including voluntarily providing vaccines to employees working night and weekend shifts, so they do not have to make an off-shift visit to Employee Health.

Deffet’s coworkers also commended her commitment to safety, ensuring everyone has what they need to do their jobs safely, recording incidents and communicating with Employee Health regarding employee needs.
