BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Charity Heding, LICSW, joins the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry as a faculty social worker at William R. Sharpe Hospital in Weston, West Virginia. She was formerly a therapist at Mountain CAP Child Advocacy Center in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

NEUROSURGERY

Hal Meltzer, MD, joins the Department of Neurosurgery as chief of pediatric neurosurgery. He was formerly a professor and pediatric neurosurgeon at the University of California at San Diego, California. He also served as the neurosurgical director of their multidisciplinary craniofacial program and director of the pediatric neurosurgery residency program.

COMMUNITY PRACTICE

Mid-Ohio Valley Medical Group, located in Vienna and St. Mary’s, West Virginia, welcomes several faculty members in the Department of Community Practice, including 16 family medicine physicians and a psychologist.
