Linsly students recognize our healthcare workers

Members of The Linsly School's 8th Grade Middle School Leadership Council (MSLC) recently held fundraising events in honor of National Healthcare Worker Appreciation Week. The MSLC hosted a "National Health Care Worker Appreciation Dress Down Day" where students were allowed to dress casually in blue and white (not in their school uniform) in honor of healthcare workers for a small donation. In addition, the MSLC held a door decorating contest to recognize healthcare workers. The proceeds were used to buy treats and  snacks and create goodie bags to deliver to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital healthcare workers to show their appreciation for all that they do to help the community, especially during the pandemic. In back, from left, are WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital employees Joe Hartley, Alissa Hollingshead, Lisa Sandy, Melissa Burkett, and Kasi Rogers.
