Laura Dean named VIP at St. Joseph’s Hospital

BUCKHANNON, WV – St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored Laura Dean with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP). Dean works in the Food and Nutrition Department as a dietary aide.

Her co-workers say she always has a smile on her face, regardless of the circumstances. She is respectful, compassionate, selfless, and cares about both her patients and co-workers. She is a hard worker who consistently takes on extra shifts to help cover her fellow employees.

She is a true woman of God who will help anyone who is having a bad day. She even gave her own Miraculous Medal necklace (a devotional medal) to an older fellow Catholic patient who admired it.

These attitudes and actions make her well-deserving of the award.

St. Joseph’s Hospital honors staff members with the Valued Inspired Person (VIP) Award on a bimonthly basis. The VIP Award is given to those who demonstrate the CHRIST values of the hospital: compassion, hospitality, reverence, interdependence, stewardship, and trust.
