Kimberly Matzel, PA-C
Kimberly Matzel earned her Bachelor of Science degree, Physician Assistant, from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She has been certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) since 1996.

Kimberly joined Bluefield Internal Medicine in May 1996. In addition to serving patients here for 25 years, she has worked in the Emergency Room and as a Hospitalist.

She has a passion for geriatrics and has provided care at a variety of nursing homes in the area for 24 years. She is also dedicated to medical missions and has participated in many mission trips to Uganda, Africa.

Amy Alvis, PA-C
Amy Alvis was raised in Athens, West Virginia, and is a graduate of PikeView High School. She earned an undergraduate degree in Radiologic Technology and a Physician Assistant degree from Mountain State University.

Amy has nearly 19 years of experience as a Physician Assistant. From 2002-2018, she served in the Emergency Department and as a Hospitalist at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, and provided care at Family Medicine with Dr. Anthony D. Rasi. She has worked in the field of internal medicine since 2018.

She has been certified by the NCCPA since 2002.

In addition, Amy received certification for Botulinum Toxin/Dermal Filler from Aesthetic Medical Educators Training in 2017.
