Resources for Living Program (EAP) – Free counseling sessions, other services available through EAP for employees, family members.
Did you know that you can take advantage of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Resources for Living, for a variety of services? This free program is available to all benefit-eligible employees, members of their household, and their adult children up to age 26. Enrollment in WVU Medicine-sponsored insurance benefits is not required.
Resources for Living provides unlimited telephone access to licensed clinicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week for in-the-moment well-being support and work/life balance. You are also eligible for five counseling sessions per topic, per year at no cost. Visit with a counselor face-to-face, online with video, or by phone; services are free and confidential.
You and your family members also have access to the COVID-19 Resource Center with information and pre-recorded webinars on managing anxiety and stress, caring for parents and children, plus other topics that can support you during this challenging time. In addition to supporting your emotional well-being , Resources for Living provides personalized guidance in the following areas:
- Daily life assistance – child/elder/pet care, home repair and improvement, etc.
- Legal services – free 30-minute consultation with a participating attorney on a variety of legal issues
- Financial services – free 30-minute consultation for each new financial topic
You also have access to identity theft services; myStrength, a personalized mental wellness website; and a discount center for electronics, entertainment, travel, nutrition, and fitness.
