Thomas Health Implements Free Parking for Patients

South Charleston, WV – In partnership with WVU Medicine, Thomas Health is pleased to announce that, effective 9/12/2022, we will offer free parking to our patients and visitors on the Thomas Memorial Hospital campus. While there will still be a few lots and spaces reserved for our physicians and employees, this change allows us to offer over 700 spaces free of charge to our valued patients and visitors. 

Specifically, free parking will now be available to patients and visitors in the following areas: MacCorkle Lot (right outside the Pavilion lobby entrance), Pavilion Lot (across from the Pavilion wing of the hospital), Half of the Poplar Lot (accessed from Vine Street), and the parking garage (located on Division Street). This is in addition to the free parking already available in the Vine Street and Ford Street lots. All lots include spaces reserved for people with handicap placards. Additionally, we have some Purple Heart spaces reserved for our combat-wounded veterans. 

This change is in keeping with our commitment to offering quality, compassionate, fiscally responsible care for the people and communities we serve. We plan to expand free parking to the Saint Francis campus in the near future.
